Under the guidance of Alyson Ball, who joined in 2005, the Ixtatán Foundation has improved financial reporting, volunteer and board recruitment, strategic planning and overall enthusiasm. After receiving her Master’s degree from The Wharton School Alyson worked in management in the corporate world, much of that time at MCI. After retiring early she spent several years as a full time volunteer for FINCA, an organization providing microcredit to women all over the world. After moving to the Charlottesville area Alyson created Boardworks, LLC, which provides personal coaching to help boards operate smoothly to achieve their missions. |
